I like that Dave, however my harbour is not low tide but about half tide and as said before the water needs painting etc.

I look forward to seeing the half tide harbour complete. I'll be interested in your approach as I'm up for trying new ideas when it comes to modelling water.

I would try the very low tide where silt can me seen and valleys where the tide is running out, more interesting me thinks :)

Each to his own. to do that my boats would have to have full or nearly full hulls. As you've probably noticed they are all waterline models.

I see what you mean but you can still build up mud/silt banks around the boats so that they are in the water channels.

we'll see Phil when I get to do the water bit. at the moment the water is represented by a spill of blackish paint that I mopped up with a kitchen towel.

Yes very nice, but the S&T Inspector might want to have a quite word with you about some of your signal positions and lack of trap points

cbrailways (shame I don't know your real name) I know there is a lack of trap points. As to the signals at the moment the signals are in the old holes from Wencombe. As the track plan has some similarity to Kingwear I'll look closer at where the signals are there. I've also not got round to putting in the ground signals yet.

My name is Chris and you can see the start of my layout under the layout thread Blackbridge Town.

If you (or anybody else on here) needs help with their signalling I have already offered to help in any way I can.
