Morning, all.
Yes, Bramble is a bit of an eyeful and a lovely eyeful at that. I must admit, she's something of a luxury but her purchase was more than paid for by the sale of the Eyetalian locos. Sales of other locos more than paid for the two SE&CR O1s so this flurry of purchases is a classic example of recycling at it's best.
I've also removed temptation to disappear down a rabbit hole or three by moving on stock originally envisaged for other projects. Another positive.
I'm quite happy with this outcome, and I am gradually getting more of a focus, hence the tentative re-emergence of Blackwater Pier on the Flaxfield thread.
As I say, the SE&CR project will be something of a major undertaking, not because of the extensive nature of the layout itself but due the need to house it. I'm in no rush but in the meantime, I can collect ( I 'm a collector !!! ) the stock as it becomes available. I can also identify more stock to move on to free up funding to support this.
However, this weekend will see some long overdue focus applied to next weekend's trip to High Wycombe. I'm hoping to at least get something finally packed up and Ewe dismantled to be, if not being, worked on ahead of it's trip out.
So, there's a busy week ahead.
