Hi Pete, good to see you back over here! I think you brought some heat and rain back with you - this seems to have been one of the warmest (and wettest?) Novembers for ages.

A daft question, did you take any photos of the cab footplate. I am slowly building 2 0395s but cannot find any photos of the footplate itself?A little bit further with the 0395. Reassemble has started ready for transfers and varnish. I've managed to lose the reversing rod. So that's a job for August after our holiday.
I need to do a couple of adjustments to get the loco body to sit properly, its just a little tight on the motor. Need a blackhead from Laurie whilst in UK. The one I had is now in my G6.

I've been having serious mojo problems, since moving from Brazil. I now feel ready to start again. Just as long as I can stay awake in the evenings.Peter!
Great to see an update from you.

Yes, I managed it in a 20 zone. I think that was the problem. I hit the ground and stopped. Possible would of slid if a little quicker.Ouch Peter, that sounds painful.
Did you come off your motorbike?
The six plank, has now had the lettering touched up. I then painted the ends and sole bars. It's now all curing before I assemble the body. In the meantime I'm scratching planks on the floor, not very well as my shoulder hurt like hell.

I know lots of people love to see grain wood. But for me it makes the model toy like. In real life you you cannot see wood grain until you get up close. Not from our usual distances.A brass suede brush is perfect for graining plastic.
