Thanks Andy I thought that. An HST set wow its a bit modern for us just yet BUT we are now on the last batch of MK2s so I guess that would lead is there. But that would be a way of yet.

Well , we've not yet had the definative model of one of the UKs most iconic trains, certainly not in either of the smaller scales. It would be nice to see this before the real things vanish.
Is stuff from the 70s really a bit Modern ? I was built in the 80s and I'm not so modern anymore :( (especially when I feel like I should be asking the person serving me in the pub for their ID)

So a 120 is a Swindon unit ? , I tend to know them by name rather than numbers.
Personally I was hoping for a met cam or a Cravens. The Derby lightweight will do for starters though.

Yes butmy friend has been building his for about 7 years now and it's still not finished and even when it is it was anything but an easy build it was a nightmare of bits that don't fit together.

I want a quality kit that fits together perfect and only jltrt do that

Richard
I liked the one Cynric built, but I did not realise the kit had issues ;) .

Westdale should not be forgotten as a source of very good DMU kits once Dick is back .

Hi Pete
A few years ago I bought a RTR Western from you, which is still one of my favourite locos.
To further enhance it, I had Ron Chaplin gearboxes retro installed. I would have liked to have lighting of the cab, head codes etc, but there was no provision to do this without plastic (resin)surgery!
I will be buying your 33/1 later on, and your 47 looks like it will be a cracking model, so will probably 'need' one of these too!!
At this stage of design, please could the provision for adding lighting during the build be incorporated?
Having never built one of your locos, perhaps I am asking for something others don't feel necessary?
Thanks,
Richard

I hope to have these on sale at Telford. The end tap is missing from the Heljan Type B tanks and the other will alloy you to turn our TTA kit in to a B tanks. Kits will just have the parts and instructions how to fit them.
