It works then.
I was looking for men’s underwear on my I pad and found myself looking at bamboo fabric boxers made by a firm whose name suggested Far Eastern origin. I e unpronounceable. The ‘blurb’ suggested that men should change their underwear every six months . My dear old mum would have had views on that.

My mum was obsessed with me wearing clean & ironed underwear, in what I conclude was a Hyacinth Bucket way.
“Imagine you get run over by a bus, what will they think if your underwear is scruffy?”
I pointed out that if I got run over by a bus, whether my pants had been ironed was unlikely to be the first concern of the medical team, nor indeed, mine.
