It looks like simple human-instigated Photoshop composite to me. It was a very common thing in the good old days of the World Wide Web. Of course, it’s fairly late on, given away by the fact it’s a relatively high resolution image, and not an 8-bit GIF.

I had a collection of GIFs culled from CD-ROMs before I had the Internet or a scanner. It really was a different age.

I spent so long getting the floodlights positioned just right for that shot that Mrs. O's soup got cold.
And then for crying out loud they made us put a glass shield around the candle.....

Remembering it was the wife’s birthday in a few days I picked up a book whose cover said “newly translated from French” whose title was “ 27 mating positions”. Taking advantage of the free gift wrapping offer it was purchased. On recieving the gift my wife complimented me on the packaging then opened the book, and with an odd look said
