Not much time at the bench today but I have fitted the brakes and built the bogie.







I have used the etched shackles but will pack brass castings in the kit.

Will start the upper works tomorrow.

Upper works started. Also had a delivery of bogie posts. Some frame cutting required to give clearance for the bogie wheels.

No more updates on the Caprotti build. Ran into a problem with the boiler that has necessitated a redesign, so no point in completing this build. It has been a valuable exercise that has resulted in many, mostly minor, design tweaks. Prepare for a rerun!

Just emerged from Paul Moore's workshop my build of an LNER F1. This one is S7 with working inside Joy valve gear. Not much left of the Gladiator frames but it worked out OK in the end.
