7mm Mickoo's Commercial Workbench

Couple of people asked at Railex what I'd been upto in the last four months, truth is, not very much to be honest; well not true, a hell of a lot to be honest but little worthy of WT frankly.

Couple of builds (some stuff coming back from paint next week) but a large slice of work has been on the Finney7 B1. We're pretty much there with etches (final test build in progress by another builder to validate my design methodology), hand full more castings to get sprued up and instructions are already done pending any updates from the final test build.

The 80K needs a few more days to sort the final pieces before strip down and off to paint.

There’s a joke there to be made and Mick selling Brute 33 aftershave, but he’s still got a loco of mine so I’ll avoid saying anything further! :D

Cheers,

Stephen
I’ll pull it out and do some studio shots and post them up in my US thread, once again a superb model and the only one I’ve ever had run on speed setting 1 on the lok programmer.

Thanks for posting the photos, Mick. Absolutely superb modelling as always.
I thoroughly enjoyed our meeting and discussions at Railex on Sunday.
As someone who attempts to build fairly accurate and detailed locos, albeit in 4 mm scale, I find your work both awe inspiring and also inspirational, encouraging me to better efforts. I for one have sorely missed your recent lack of updates here on WT and sincerely hope you'll post occasional updates in future.
In common with others, I'm sure, I love to see your completed models, but I for one also value the glimpses into the inner workings and under-the-skin details of construction and resolution of kit inadequacies/improvements you produce. So, hopefully, you'll still show us some of these from time to time?
Dave.

I hope you're going to post some photos of Spitfire once you've done all the final fittings Mick...
I'm hoping my display case is going to turn up shortly (today) so I can put Spitfire in it at Kempton, not leaving it in the open for grubby half wits to try and poke or pick up.

Had one guy at Kettering try and grab the Garrett and pick it up; who then got miffed when I told him to ....off.
