I still have the same problem with posting. I posted something at 17.00 but still not up, I'll have another go.

As Country Stations seemed to have far more 'quiet times' than busy ones, those pics with no trains at all are really rather atmospheric in their own right!!

"When's the next train..? ... HOW long to wait..?!?!"  :D :D

I've been playing with static grass, not sure its too green. It does stand out agianst the painted hanging basket liner. But on the other hand if i was to cover most of the hanging basket liner grass the greenness may not be so obvious.

As I posted yesterday wasn't too happy with the look of the grass, so had another go and mixed 50% beige in with the early fall green. Looks a lot better i think the new area is around the nail and on the stream side of the bush.blend f1.jpg

Hi Alan, I think that you would find the grass is naturally greener nearer the stream due to more water but as Phil says they both look very well done:thumbs:

Thanks Phil and Rob, It's one of the problems with taking photos in slightly different lighting conditions. All i can say is that I'm far happier with the second go. It also has given me clues as to how much to vary the mix to get subtly different shades of early autumn grass.

The Guv beat me to it... the grass in the second pic blends better with the basket liner.

Yup thats what I thought. Thanks for all your comments

I would agree with the Guv, the second pic looks better.. The stream looks excellent. All it needed was a Hydraulic crossing the bridge:rolleyes::)). Really nice work Alan:thumbs:

I have to agree with the sentiments so far just 1 question with no criticism intended if the grass is a darker green this side of the railway fence why is it lighter the other side. The pictures look great and very impressive but the tatters will be out to pull up the big nail the scrap value must be immense:D .

I can see this part of the thread being like the old Hornby caltologues with the Cuneo paintings and spotting the mouse, only in this case its spot the nail. Iploffy you are not looking close enough. Lokkat the top left of the second picture. My efforts at hiding from metal theives was pretty good then.
