Aberbig started with the foam running to the edge of each baseboard and I experienced the end sleepers losing support from the foam. From memory there were ten board joints to fix and the solution to the problem was already there in that the two fiddle yards had the 9mm plywood thresholds which mounted a 3D printed cassette end. I simply adapted it to each board joint. When I've gone to the trouble of isolating the track from the baseboard (a.k.a. sounding box) it just doesn't seem right to then rigidly fix the track to the plywood with PVA
I wasn't aware of any change in noise level when running at home. Mind you most running was on the oval with a couple of 37 on the front of every 16T I could muster (48) with something else going round the other way. I had retired and no longer cycled to work so I got hot on the trainer for 30 minutes watching the trains go round with the sound on. Happy days!
