Well, a foot is 304.8mm, so no, it’s not (precisely) 1:100.TT120, and it's 'lack' of popularity?
I am superficially amazed they didn't stick with 3 mm- foot. [Is that 1:100?]
Despite the narrower gauge....[Is it any worse than OO gauge, at the end of the day?]

Hi Alastair,
Hornby also have the Arnold TT range, and making the new British TT compatible with that and other continental TT probably makes more commercial sense than making it compatible with the old TT-3, which ceased to be manufactured around 60 years previously and I suspect would struggle with modern track.
I've got an Arnold TT Kö (tiny diesel shunter) which looks good and runs superbly, and while I've no interest in the British range, the Peco track is excellent.
Cheers, Simon.

Hi Rob,
Have you ditched the Peco baseboard idea?
I don't go to RMweb, so if you posted news there I wouldn't pick it up as I can't be bothered to learn the navigation of RMweb. Maybe I should ask Ai to learn it for me.
Tony
Are those the ruins from the pecoboo 200 board? In other news, there seemingly a bit of 'movement' in the current bout of modelling constipation.
A revisit of the Blackwater Pier project ended in disaster, ultimately causing the demise of the board.
However, it got the thoughts going in the right direction and this is where we are currently at.

Very simple indeed but the operation is secondary to the scenic treatment. Grey areas will be a water feature.

It's more a working or 'aggravated' diorama due to the simplicity of the track plan but I think it offers some really nice views through the trees, of which I think I'm three or possibly four short.

The period, location or company is not settled on as of yet but it's currently a toss up between pre- WW1 SE&CR or 1930s Ex- GER.

The next job will be to glue the MDF down over the next couple of evenings.
