At Stafford County Showground in Bingley Hall.

The County Showground is situated 3 miles to the east of the town on the A518 in the direction of Uttoxeter.

This year the show is going to be bigger and better than ever before. The good news is we will be in the main Bingley Hall at the Stafford County showground which provides more space and much better facilities.

Extended free parking.

A free bus service will run from Stafford railway station to the venue on both days. Details (subject to confirmation) can be found here.

The bus timetable is a guide only except for the last service. We are hoping to have several vehicles avaialble and, at busy times at the beginning and end of each day, buses will depart once full and the next one should be right behind it.

Take cash to spend, if Trader's experiences with card machines & the wifi at Guildex recently are anything to go by.!!
Agreed.

We were asked to take our card for a walk to the car park on several occasions. Cash seemed to be he easier option on the Saturday.

I was a steward at the O Gauge Guild Show at Stafford last weekend both to help, and also to look at issues that we may encounter at our own exhibition on 24th & 25th Septembe.

One of the issues I was looking at was card payment payment transactions.

The new card machines systems work on a wireless connection to the WiFi in the hall of which there is a dedicated channel for the traders which understand worked well.

On checking with a number of traders over the weekend it seemed to be working fine.

The issue seems to be with the older card readers which use the mobile telephone network, and mobile signal in the hall is poor part of the reason I’m told is caused metal framework of the hall which has the Faraday Cage effect.

There are a number of easy access cash machines in Stafford which include Tesco Superstore on the Newport Road, Stafford Railway Station and I understand one at the CO OP on Weston Road between Stafford and the Showground.

Hi Terry

Are Eileen's Emporium coming to Stafford? I know they have in the past, and their own website says they are, but they are not on your trader's list.

Thanks

I hope you have a great show. Unfortuately I'd already booked to go to Scaleforum (DEMU stand). Stafford has been a fantastic show in the past and it is a shame to be missing it, but it is what it is etc.

I'll be there on one of the demo stands bashing together plasticard into something like buildings. Looking forward to it. The last time I did a demo stand was on Feb 2020 and then COVID hit...

Morning Terry, that's what I intended to type but fat fingers occurred! Now corrected.

I do recall during the Feb 2020 show there was a lot of discussion about this Chinese COVID thing. Should we be worried, would it get here, how long would it last etc... Little did we know!

Only a couple of days to Stafford Railway Circles first exhibition for two years, plus a move to the much larger Bingley Hall still at the Stafford County Showground.

The move to Bingley Hall has enabled us to increase the size of the exhibition and with much better facilities.

The exhibition is completely organised and financed by Stafford Railway Club and its members.

So please do come along and support us, then we can do it all again next year…..
