The SMRE (Sheffield Model Railway Enthusiasts) will be hosting an open day at their club rooms on Saturday 1st November 2025, 10am - 4:30pm.

Accompanied Children Under 16: Free
7+ members' layouts will be in attendance, and the club rooms on the top floor will be open. If you're in the area and have ever wondered what we get up to, then this is an ideal opportunity to come and take a look! (Spoiler alert: it's mostly chatting rubbish and playing trains!

We'll also have the club sales stand open, and refreshments available in the on-site café.
Unfortunately disabled access is limited to the downstairs hall only, which includes the members' layouts, refreshments, trade stand, and toilets. The club rooms are located on the top floor accessible only via stairs.
My latest layout, Forge Island, fresh from its Hornby Mag photo-shoot will be having its first semi-proper outing here which I'm rather looking forward to!
