A charity event officially supporting Prostate Cancer UK.

Join us for the 5th annual MIOG show at the Crewe Heritage Centre. Tickets include access to the show, as well as all the attractions that the museum has to offer including full size locomotives and signal boxes including Class 40 D213 courtesy of Locomotive Services Group.

Following the sad loss of one of our founder members, Colin, in 2024, this year will be a Charity event officially endorsed by Prostate Cancer UK, to help raise much needed funds for the charity and also help raise awareness. A raffle is taking place too, more details in the next post. All proceeds from this year's show will be donated to PCUK.

We will kindly be supported by the best layouts, traders and manufacturers that O Gauge has to offer.

We will once again be supported by Locomotive Services Limited who will kindly be providing a full-Size heritage diesel locomotive from their fleet for display (Subject to availability). This will be displayed alongside various heritage diesel and electric locomotives at the museum.

Catering will be once again available on site, and a FREE bus service will run from Crewe Railway station at regular intervals.

Modern Image O Gauge Raffle in aid of Prostate Cancer UK 2025

After loosing MIOG Member Colin Burgess in June 2024 to a short but aggressive fight with Prostate Cancer, we've turned our attention to fundraising for a cause that has been thrown to the forefront of our attention for all of the wrong reasons. Running up to our exhibition on the 25th/26th of October 2025 we've arranged a charity raffle which will run until the Sunday of the event. Model Railways was one of Colins many passions along with the real railways & fishing! We hope to help raise a pot of cash for the charity which will mean that other peoples loved ones and families wont have to experience the traumatic journey that we had to endure by leaving his cancer too late. He was a well loved Dad, Husband and man of his family, so please help us do him proud and you can pledge either a ticket or a donation via our Just giving page and it will help us raise our ambitious target of £20,000. Full details are available on our website www.modernimageogauge.co.uk

We've been truly humbled by the amount of prizes that have been donated to us by our traders and surrounding model railway community. Every ticket sold will allow us to make a 100% donation to Prostate Cancer UK from monies raised from this raffle. There is 17 prizes on offer, with a range of £20 - 600!

To enter simply purchase tickets and we'll do the rest.

Good Luck!

I attended the show as a trader today. It was busy with visitors until closing at 1600. Well organised IMO and visitors prepared to pay for what they wanted. I had invested in one of those SUMUP machines and it had paid for itself today. Unsurprisingly perhaps, when spending £100-£200 folk don't want to carry those sorts of sums in cash and fewer people carry cheque books - so the SUMUP machine seems to expedite sales.

Attended this show yesterday excellent day out with friendly people. Some nice and inspiring layouts and good trade support.
Just a note about parking : The Hertigate Centre does'nt seem to have any public parking and the Tesco Car park has a restriction of three hours. (not enough time for real railway nuts. ) The Oak Strret car park is no longer there as it is now a building site !. For information the nearest public car park is on Edleston Road which is about a 7 min walk to the Centre.

Yes, this caught me out, having parked in the Oak St car park previously, it was a surprise to get there and find a construction site!

Visited the show today and was impressed with the selection of layouts and good trade support. Not often you see trade stands with a Class 87 and Class 91 as a backdrop. Ordered a class 121 driving trailer kit to go with my Dapol bubble car as a winter stock building project.

Likewise I was caught by the construction site where previously there was a car park. Ended up finding some on street parking about a 10 minute walk from the heritage centre.
