Another super dose of inspiration. And I spent what seemed like half the night watching the HB videos tagged to the bottom of the update. The layout is such a wonderful and evocative step back in time to a relatively recent but memorable and interesting (for me) period and location. It's well observed and atmospheric with great attention to detail and first class consistent modelling.

Hi Kier
I have a small request for the next instalment of the EM gauge updates if may be so bold!I spent an hour last night looking at various videos of Ian Manderson's Hartburn on You Tube. Lovely running and very evocative. I know this used to feature on these updates and realise that the layout has not appeared here for a while.
It is a firm favourite primarily for it simplicity and excellent modelling of this line which I am beginning to have an interest (see my request re Ian Futers Kielder Forest layout in Q&A).
Would Ian mind giving us an update, can he be persuaded Kier?
Oxford Rail's J26 and J27s open up such possibilities!
Cheers Julian
