Im going by the photograph I have, its a funny little building that was put up during the war, so I dont think they were too bothered about niceties
the next task is a 1/32 corrugated asbestos roof, was there a standard sheet size?

After a slightly hairy session with the router and in between other jobs, I managed to get the corners mitred and this is the first test join
The top should close up when I get some clamps on, but the concept works and it is a million miles better than a butt join. My router setup needs some attention as mitres on 2mm mdf are a bit different from putting a chamfer on fence posts

There is some way to go yet
the fit of the mitres is not good enough, so I shall be experimenting with the painting on this one and cutting a few more out

I cut a second sample today, tried a new way of chamfering the corners, which is 80% successful, (although any attempt at chamfering 2mm mdf is going to be difficult due to the thinness of the material) The 7mm corrugated sheets are loosely taped in place and look pretty good in 1/32 which is a stroke of luck The door and soffits need to be drawn and that should be it. I dont to fit an interior as the windows are going to be boarded up.

I need to play with some more test pieces first, but I want to draw all the bits and make sure they fit so I can post a couple offExcellent
Anybody wanting the corrugated sheet http://www.ambisengineering.co.uk/ is the place to go these are 7mm industrial pattern, but it looks ok to my eyes

Not wishing to sound pedantic but was the brick arch lintol over the door based on a prototype, usualy there are a couple of extra bricks on the top row creating staggered vertical joints. I have attached a page from a building construction book of mine showing what I mean.
