Copydex - No longer manufactured

Just a quick heads-up. I went to my 125ml jar of Copydex and it had gone stale, brown and gloopy as I hadn't used it for a couple of years.
No problem methinks... just order another one.... After more than several fruitless minutes online, I was only able to source 50ml tubes, some at what I consider exorbitant pricing. On eBay several listings show 125ml and even 500ml bottles, but when you drill down those are not available just the 50ml tubes.
Despite the fishy smell of Copydex I started to 'smell a rat', and I made a call to Henkel UK, the manufacturer/supplier, only to be told they stopped making it about two years ago.
Therefore if you use it and want some, best get it now while still available.

As a better alternative I'd suggest Soudal Neoprene Gel contact adhesive. It's latex free, extremely useful when living with someone who has a severe latex allergy, not tried the liquid myself but the gel goes down very nicely, doesn't go all stringy like copydex did.

I wouldn't suggest drinking it, myself! :)

Mike,
I have an almost full 250 ml bottle of Copydex you can have, unfortunately on opening it has gone a gloopy pink colour
and the smell has given me a head ache, so in the bin its gone. Must admit I wont miss the pong.
Pete.
