Had a very enjoyable weekend at Scalefour Crewe on Saturday, stayed overnight in Newcastle-under-Lyme and travelled home on Sunday via Bridgnorth and a ride on the SVR, hauled by the Stanier Mogul, both ways. Even the weather cooperated, with the odd bit of drizzle whilst we we indoors or on the train.
At Crewe, met up with several friends, discussed some modelling plans, and collected various modelling bits and my Ivatt Class 2 tank so I can finish it off.
Some further detailing bit have been added to the B1, including a lovely little machined smokebox door opening knob, courtesy of "45609" of this site. Thanks Morgan.
In the cab, the Dave Bradwell cast brake ejector and reverser screw (from is K1 parts) have been attached to the etched cab floor unit.
Apologies for the quality of the photos, but at least they give an impression of what has progressed.

The safety valves and whistle have been added to the boiler. The former are the Bachmann originals and the whistle is a Bradwell K1 part.

The mechanical lubricators have been fixed to the footplate. The lubricators are Bradwell K1 castings and the drive ratchets and hand wheels are custom parts made for me by Rumney Models.

And not least, the smokebox door knob has been fitted. Far superior to a plain length of brass or N/S rod, which was my original intention.

That's probably it for a while on the B1. My attention will now switch to the Ivatt tank, with a view to finishing it off.
Dave.
