After Morfa - Look North

The projection map doesn't look to good for either does it ? The Google map of Morfa used in the article still clearly shows the junction and triangle very clearly. If it all comes to pass it will be a sad day.

The Fairbourne proposals came out some time ago. At the time there was a school of thought that the abandonment strategy by Gwynedd Council was a gambit to prise extra funds for coastal defence work from the Welsh Assembly or possibly even Westminster. I'm not sure what the current state of play is but I'd be wary of putting complete/much/any trust in the Daily Mail. My own view is that the money should be found to keep the sea defences in good order, though it may seem expensive to protect a village with about 500 homes it should also be borne in mind that London and the South East get infrastructure spending per capita far in excess of the rest of the UK.

Sir; I wish to protest in the strongest possible terms concerning the OP's last post. It is increasingly clear that this Gentleman, through reckless & callous reliance on products ready made, is actually ENJOYING this hobby!! ....

I'm afraid that further anticipatory enjoyment is already being indulged in as I've put my name down for one of these. If I'd stuck with EM I doubt I'd have the bottle to convert such a charming little thing and I'd resent the extra cost of the bits and bobs to facilitate such a course of action. All my diesel conversions have been low cost, easy peasy, lever the wheels out on the axle jobbies. A happy by-product of this cheap and cheerful strategy is that the de-conversion process will be equally swift and economical.

Good choice I suspect, since the "factory" paint finish will be suitably anonymous for use anywhere. I'm still very tempted by the biscuit tin though.
