If you rattle in 'Igarashi can motors' into the e-bay search engine you get connected to a guy in the States who is selling these motors at £3.46p each plus post. Now I've acquired one and they are, I think, very good. It compares well with the Mashima 1883 (current price in region of £20) ,has the same shaft diameter , mounting holes and 5-pole skewed armature .Now these motors might not appeal to the 'a loco's no good unless it's got a mega expensive power source in it '...... but to the rest of us ,in these financially grim times, they are a bit of a bargain . Just thought I'd pass it on for what it's worth
