Has anyone attempted to convert one of these to Scaleseven?

I've converted many RTR loco's to S7 and although not converted the J94 I would say it will be relatively easy to convert being an inside cyl. loco.
Judging by other Dapol 0-6-0's removing the rods and wheel sets and then pulling the wheels from the axles should be a simple operation.
Re-profiling the wheels to an S7 profile needs a lathe unless someone can do it for you ? and then a simple re assembly job with the wheels pressed back on the axles to an S7 back to back gauge. You will how ever might want to add some packing washers on the leading and trailing wheels sets placed between wheel backs and bearings to take up some of the increased side play with the increase in gauge.
For packing washers I have used plastic washers of suitable dia.x thickness ( 0.5 & 1.0mm) sourced on cheaply on Ebay normal practice with the washers is to re place the wheel sets, determine the amount of slack to be taken up then cut a section from the washers slightly less than the dia. of the axle and press them on behind the wheels with some snipe nosed pliers or large tweezers.

I know this might be a bit controversial (in S7 world!), but would it be possible to just pull the wheels out a bit on the axles, check the back-to-back and then see how it runs? Reprofiling of the wheels would be ideal, but some of the rtr wheel profiles don't look too bad to me (but my eyes might not tell the whole story! 
)

I have had a good squint at photos of the Ruston 48DS from Heljan, and taken a punt. I am determined to have something to run at Albury next year instead of having to balance one of my finescale efforts on a track, and see it unceremoniously lifted across the pointwork. I am thinking, just apply a nail punch on the end of each axle. If this doesn't work, put the wheelsets in the lathe and skim the flanges.

Yes Mike it is of interest . . . I am sure it has got to be worth a try. Knowing my luck, the hardest part will probably be something trivial like undoing the screws holding the keeper plate! I'd like to give the model a running-in session at NEEGOG next month, and then investigate the conversion.

For completeness - I have received the 48DS and requested a return from Heljan. I can see at a glance, I will get much more enjoyment from building something of my own. Well, it seemed a good idea at the time.
